Health, Safety & Privacy Policy

At Nicol’s Face painting, creating a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for every child (and adult!) is a top priority. Please take a moment to read the guidelines below.

Before Painting

• Faces must be clean and dry before face painting begins.
• I use high-quality, professional water-based face paints and cosmetic-grade glitters designed for use on skin. These can be easily removed with soap and water.

Important Information

• While all products are skin-safe, care is taken to avoid contact with the eyes. In the unlikely event that product enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Safety information is available upon request.
• Skin reactions are very rare; however, as with any cosmetic product, they can occur. If there are concerns about sensitive skin, a small patch test can be requested (please allow at least 30 minutes), or a hand design can be chosen instead.
• By choosing to have face painting applied, clients accept any minor risk of skin sensitivity or reaction.

Health & Hygiene Guidelines

For the wellbeing of all guests, I am unable to paint anyone who:
• Is unwell or showing symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, or fever
• Has visible skin conditions such as cold sores, conjunctivitis, rashes, or broken skin in the area to be painted

Face painting should always be a positive experience. I will not paint children who are distressed, uncomfortable, or unwilling to participate.

Hygiene and Safety Measures

Nicol’s Face painting follows strict hygiene practices to ensure a safe and comfortable experience:
• Clean sponges are used for each individual
• Brushes are cleaned regularly during events, and water is changed frequently
• All brushes and sponges are thoroughly washed with antibacterial soap between bookings
• The full kit is cleaned and sanitised after every event

Supervision

Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising children at all times while face painting is taking place.

Photography

From time to time, I may request permission to take photos of completed designs. These images may be used to showcase my work on social media or my website. Photos are typically edited or cropped to focus on the face painting, and permission will always be obtained from a parent or caregiver beforehand.

Please contact Nicol if you wish to have a photo removed.

Data Privacy and Security

Nicol’s Face painting respects your privacy. Any information provided by customers (e.g, contact details) will be:
• Stored securely and not shared with third parties
• Used solely for communication regarding bookings, including confirming details and responding to enquiries
